Endowment funds that have been contributed under the Church-Named Scholarship Program generate several scholarships for deserving United Methodist students. Under this plan, the church agrees to establish an endowment fund that will be built, usually over a period of years, to a total of $25,000. The church may then recommend students from the congregation for the scholarships generated from this fund. If recipients are not recommended by the church, the University selects another United Methodist student to receive the scholarship.
