Requirements for Bachelor's Degree Majors

Accounting Options
Students can earn a four- or five-year degree with a major in accounting as well as a minor. Students interested in a career as a certified public accountant may enroll in the five-year program, which is designed to fulfill the requirement to take 150 credit hours before taking the CPA exam. With summer courses, students may complete their entire 150 hours in four years. Students who qualify also may enroll in the five-year BS/MBA program in order to fulfill the 150-credit-hour requirement. Both programs satisfy the requirements of the state of Indiana to take the CPA examination. Students with a career goal of working in private accounting may enter the four-year program. Completion of the minor in accounting will complement any major.
