Waitlisting is a feature of UIndy registration that allows a student to get “in line” for courses that are at enrollment capacity. If a seat becomes available in a waitlisted course, an email notification is sent to the first student on the waitlist. The notification email advises the student on the available seat as well as the deadline to register for it. Students are responsible for monitoring their UIndy email account for waitlist notifications. If a notified student does not register for a waitlisted course prior to the stated deadline, that student is removed from the waitlist, and the next student on the waitlist is sent notification of the available seat.
All waitlists are dissolved at 3 pm on the first day of each term. After that, registration during the remainder of the drop/add period is on a first-come, first-served basis.
